I accidentally bid on the wrong lot. Can this be retracted?

Unfortunately we cannot cancel or delete any submitted bids. However, we do recommend that you update your maximum bid so that automatic bids are not placed on your behalf once you are outbid.

Why are you charging storage/late fees?

Simply put, we need the space so that we can bring you more great auctions! We are counting on all lots being picked up on scheduled pick up days as we are already planning on using the same space for the upcoming sale. By the time pick up comes around, another sale is usually ready to be staged for a preview and posted online. We are counting on your cooperation so that we can clean up and bring you another sale!

How does automatic bidding work?

Excellent question! We’ll use an example to explain how automatic are submitted via proxy bidding. Every time you submit a bid it is your maximum bid. All of our auctions start at $1. If you like something and you are willing to spend $15 on it, you bid $15 but the current bid will show as $1. You will win this item for $1 if no other bids are submitted even if you put in a maximum of $15. That’s great! If another customer comes in and bids $10, the current bid will be $11 in your favor as we will automatically bid on your behalf up to the maximum amount of $15.

Help – I accidentally entered a bid that is too high!

It happens – a slip of a finger, hitting the submit button too fast and inadvertently you are now the highest bidder with a very high ceiling. While we cannot cancel or delete an existing bid – our auctions are driven by bids, we can help by changing the maximum bid amount.

Every bid represents the maximum amount you are willing to spend on the particular lot. Your maximum bid amount can be adjusted at any time. You can go back to the lot on which you are bidding and see the maximum bid amount that you have submitted for this lot. Additionally, you are able to enter and submit a corrected maximum bid amount. Please note that the bid amount must follow the bid increment structure.

If you need additional help, please contact us no later than 24 hours prior to the end of the auction for assistance.

Can you cancel/delete/retract my bid?

Are there any buyer’s premiums?

No. We do not charge any buyer’s premiums.

Will I be charged sales tax?

Yes, you will be charged New Jersey sales tax. If you are a tax exempt buyer, you must provide us your tax exemption certificate and tax will not be charged for your orders.

Did I win?

We hope so! As soon as the auction ends, we will send you an email if you indeed are the winner. Don’t worry, if you are outbid, we will notify you immediately, via email, so that you can get a chance to adjust your maximum bid.

Can I see the items I am bidding on?

Absolutely! During each auction we encourage everybody to come in and see all the great gems we found in person. Checkout the details of each auction for the time and location of the live preview.

How do I register to bid?

It’s simple! Head on over to the my account page, fill out the short registration form, and we’ll have you up and running in no time! Please note, in order to bid you must have a valid credit card number on file.

What payment forms are accepted?

We accept cash, certified checks and all major credit cards as well as PayPal.

How are shipping costs calculated?

Shipping costs are calculated based on the dimensions and weight of the item and the shipping zip code. We also factor in packaging costs as well as insurance as we know what we sell is very unique. For smaller items, shipping costs are provided by FedEx and shipping can be automatically purchased at checkout once the auction has ended. For larger items, please contact us for a quote.

When do I get paid?

Our goal is to close out your estate sale as quickly as possible once it ends. Please allow for 15 business days for us to mail you a check.

Do you accept consignments?
